For those looking for a change of scenery and breathtaking landscapes, this trip is for you.
This tour will offer you all the tourist attractions of the western and southern coasts. Passing through the treasures of the west, such as the Tsingys de Bemaraha, the Avenue of Baobabs, Belo-sur-Tsiribihina, and Belo-sur-Mer, our journey will continue south.
Following Madagascar’s southwest coast, you can enjoy a succession of magnificent beaches, which will give you the impression of being at the end of the world. We will end our trip in Tulear, taking the plane to the capital of Madagascar. This tour is accessible from April to December.

Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Ivato International Airport, our team will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel we have carefully reserved for you.

Departure by car to Antsirabe, the City of Water;
This first day will give you a surprising glimpse of the rice-growing panoramas and the uniqueness of the rocky and mountainous landscapes of the Central Highlands;
Along the road, you will discover the originality of the traditional constructions of the mud-brick houses with thatched or tiled roofs;
Lunch in Antsirabe and check-in at the hotel;
The afternoon is devoted to short visits and a ride aboard a rickshaw;
Antsirabe is a city steeped in history. The colonial vestiges of its glorious past, steeped in French colonization. Indeed, you will admire buildings of a very French inspiration, an avenue lined with oak trees, and the rustic and majestic Hôtel des Thermes. At the time, the town was nicknamed "Vichy Gasy" due to its therapeutic thermal springs. A city of art, visitors can visit the craft workshops to see the cutting of precious stones, the shaping of zebu horns into decorative accessories, and the making of miniature shoots.

A day's drive to Morondava

Early morning departure for Bekopaka. We'll take a dirt road through the Morondava forest. We'll catch a glimpse of the famous Baobab Avenue, which borders the path in a highly sculptural manner. Folkloric ferry crossing of the Tsiribihina River.
Lunch in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina at the Karibo Restaurant.
We'll return to Bekopaka in the afternoon.
We'll cross the Manambolo River by ferry to reach Bekopaka.

In the morning, we'll set off on a traditional canoe ride to Manambolo. Throughout the journey through its majestic gorges, we'll discover the most imposing massif of the Bemaraha, adorned with small cliffs. The river's course reveals the wild and unspoiled nature of the area. The walk will last approximately two hours.
In the middle of the day, we'll visit the Petit Tsingy, better known on the "Andadoany Circuit." The hiking trail invites us on a short expedition and will take you to discover the resources and heritage of the Tsingy. Indeed, we'll encounter a breathtaking landscape with an unusual relief, deep canyons, and caves. This itinerary will lead us on a botanical hike through a dense dry forest.

Departure in the morning aboard a 4X4 to reach the spectacular Great Tsingy of Bemaraha in Bekopaka. We'll have plenty of time to appreciate the stunning beauty of this unparalleled landscape made up of Tsingy peaks. The Great Tsingy of Bemaraha National Park are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The most sensational part of this hiking tour is essentially crossing the suspension bridge, where it has become customary to take photos as you pass over it. We'll have the opportunity to go caving in the caves, which bear witness to the presence of humans in very ancient times.

After breakfast, we'll depart for a long, dirt road ride to Morondava. We'll cross the Manambolo River by ferry.
Lunch in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina at the Karibo Restaurant.
Early afternoon, we'll board a ferry to cross the famous Tsiribihina River.
Once we land, we'll stop at the mystical Sacred Baobab and the Lovers Baobab, the two famous Baobab trees that meet. A remarkable sight worthy of postcard photos. We'll head to Morondava in the evening to admire the spectacular sunset over the Avenue of the Baobabs.

Departure in the morning by 4X4 to reach the small fishing village south of Morondava. The town is renowned for its artisanal expertise in building dhows and wooden canoes. This is a privileged opportunity to meet and interact with the local people.

A free day to explore the fishing villages a little further. We can take a short tour with activities such as excursions to the neighboring islands, kayaking in the mangroves, or even diving.

We'll leave Belo-sur-Mer early in the morning for Manja. The route is quite challenging and strewn with rocks. We'll cross a shrubby savannah dominated by baobab trees of various species.
Picnic on the road.
We'll arrive in Manja around the early afternoon, which is both a stopover town on the route and the cradle of the Sakalava ethnic group.

Early departure for Manja. We'll cross the Mangoky River by ferry. In this part of the island, we can encounter the most enormous baobab species, measuring 25 meters in circumference.

Early morning departure for Andavadaoka. We will take a track that is both stony and sandy. Throughout the route, we will have glimpses of a deciduous forest of Euphorbias. The coastal track also crosses a thorny forest dotted with baobab species, as well as mangrove forests. We will reach Andavadaoka near the end of the coral reef.

To reach Salary, the dreamy little seaside village, we had to continue our journey along a completely sandy coastal track in a 4x4. This idyllic little corner welcomes us with its beautiful white-sand beaches.
